The Terrible Power Of Nature

The power of Nature can be incredibly disastrous. Early morning friday nov 8th. 2013, the worst typhoon (hurricane) ever measured slammed into the central parts of The Philippines. The amount of deaths is increasing as we speak, and it can run into several thousands... Please watch the video below and always remember to take care of your loved ones, yourself, and not to forsake the things in life that you care about and that you want to do.

With Love
Ulf

Any Business Is All About Relationships

Any business - online or offline - depends on having good relationships. Your offer can be the best in the world, but if you miss out on your prospect's or customer's actual needs, then you're losing the battle, 100% certain. This is a wellknown fact, yet SO many people miss out on this elementary fact (really, it's the whole foundation of any business).

I just felt today that I wanted to write a blogpost but I was stuck. What should I write about? So I decided to go for a walk (which I do every morning) even though I was in my "working mood" and it was in the middle or second half of the afternoon. Below is a video from what I came up with and which resulted in this post. Enjoy!

As you hear in my video, it's really important to get a clear picture of what your prospect is looking to find. Ask them questions about "WHY" they want to run a business, "WHAT" they want to achieve with it and use their money to. The more you can get out of your prospect BEFORE you present your offer - the better. Always keep that in mind. If you rush this process you will most certainly lose your prospect and his/her trust in you - forever... So take this step very serious, this is where you'll set the foundation for the longevity of your prospect's loyalty and activity with regards to running and maintaining their business and their business relationship with you.

Have a great day!
Ulf

Make FREE Splash Pages With Rock Solid Hosting Through Wordpress

Stability and reliability when it comes to your webpages is of course THE most important factor of all. Without having solid hosting and your pages online all the time, your chances of getting visitors decreases a lot.

When utilizing FREE resorces it's imperative to pick the most solid and reliable services, and there are a few that you fully can trust and rely on. Today I'll point you to a website I've set up where I show you how to use the FREE Wordpress version to build your splash pages in a nice, simple and appealing way.

To learn how to do this, just GO HERE!

I will soon bring you a video on how to do this through Google's website platform as well (not the blogging platform, but their website platform), so keep an eye open for that.

Have a great day!
Ulf

A FREE Website - Is It A Good Idea?

We all want something for free, right? Free stuff is always great, or is it...??

Todays post is about having a free website and what the benefits are, as well as the downside of it.

Besides the obvious advantage of not having to pay for something, there are a few very important things you need to be aware of. This is also mentioned more than one place here on my blog because it is really important. So please pay attention...

By far THE most important thing regarding your website/blog is that it's accessible (online) for the public to view. In this modern hi-tech world things can of course go wrong every now and then, and wow... are we vulnerable...?? But we need to make sure that we have done everything we can to have our website online. And this is where I must raise a small finger of warning.

If you're using - or intend to use - free hosting, please make sure that you pick a stable and solid provider. In my personal opinion the best choice is Google, at least if we're talking about blogging. Their blog platform "BLOGGER" is very solid and the uptime (accessibility) is 100%. You'll never have to worry about your blog being online and easy accessible for your visitors.

When it comes to other webpages which are not blogs, I strongly recommend WEEBLY since that's another very solid and highly renowned webhost, and they also have a free plan besides their paid options. Get your own free website at http://weebly.com.

You'll also be able to find hosting providers that offer you the same kind of features as paid hosting, like cPanel, subdomains, databases, e-mail accounts etc. However, every single one of those that I've tried (and I've tried many) has proven not to be stable. That is of course not acceptable. In short, if you search for free webhosting, avoid those that offer you the same features as paid hosting. There's a reason that they are free.

Free webhosting can be really good - IF you choose the ones I mention above. Google for blogging and Weebly for webpages.

The only downside I can see by having a free webhost (and therefore also a subdomain, just like ulfastrom.blogspot.com or ulfastrom.weebly.com) is the fact that it might have some minor negative influence on your personal branding. I mean, ulfastrom.com would probably have been better, right? But on the other hand, providing good and useful information that is of a real value for your reader, easily win over the "pure" domain name. It's all about the content and the value you can deliver to your readers.

Have a great day!
Ulf

Building a list - The first step

In order to make any money at all online, you need to build a list of prospects (people) that are interested in what you have to offer. There's no need to try to create something or sell something if you don't have any people to sell to, right? So this is where we get into the first and actually THE most important fact of any online business, and that is Building A List.

Take a minute to watch my video here which will introduce you to what you're going to read about here...

Before the autoresponder existed, it was quite some work to maintain contact with your customers, potential customers, teammates etc. Yes, there were some mailing groups and similar, but they easily ended up being very messy since everyone could send messages and reply to messages in every possible direction. But the autoresponder changed all that.

First of all, it made it possible to deliver messages from only one sender, which of course effectively put an end to messages arriving from every single member of a group. Don't get me wrong here, groups is a great thing and we see them a lot still as of today. Just take a look at any forum out there, or Facebook groups and more. It's a great place for discussion and exchanging ideas. But for promotion (and I mean qualified and serious promotion), it needs to be some kind of structure and that's what an autoresponder can provide.

A lot of people love the autoresponder because of its feature with sending out automatic messages and followup letters without having to conduct that operation manually. Personally I think that the absolute most important thing with an autoresponder is that nobody can receive any information/messages/campaigns without having to ask for it first. This is done by submitting an e-mail address (and most often also name) through a form on a website. It's also possible by several autoresponder services to do this by sending a blank e-mail to a certain address. But the main thing here is that a person must request information in order to be added to someone's mailing list.

This is very good because it will sort out people who have a genuine interest in a particular offer in a much better way. And you know, it gets even better... All autoresponder services out there offer the so called "Double Opt-In" which means that the person who submits a form with his/her e-mail address and name, will have to confirm their request by clicking a certain link in an e-mail that's being sent to the submitted e-mail address within seconds from clicking the submit button. This is truly great because it verifies that the person really has an interest in the offer and it sorts out those who really don't have an interest, thus saving you time and energy.

A feature called "Single Opt-In" is also available in many autoresponder services. This feature makes it possible to be added to someone's mailing list without having to confirm the request. This leads to much more submissions, but usually less qualified and interested prospects. It can also lead to the fact that some person's e-mail address is being submitted without that person actually has done it him/herself. Personally I do NOT recommend this option. Stay with "Double Opt-In" and you will always be on the safe side with regards to spam complaints, and your leads will have a better quality since they are more interested and have taken the time to confirm their request.

Sending a complete broadcast e-mail to your list is also possible with an autoresponder. This enables you to stay in close contact with your list and provide them good and useful information. Don't send your business opportunities too often. That is a major turn-off for your subscribers and they will most likely unsubscribe from your list and you'll lose them forever.

A ratio of 1:5 is usually pretty good. Meaning that for every five broadcasts to your list you can sell (pitch) them with one offer. This means that you should strive to provide as much value as possible for your subscribers in your broadcasts instead of trying to sell them on a product or biz-opp.

It all comes down to using your common sense. Treat your subscribers just as you want to be treated yourself when you're on someone's mailing list, and make sure that you provide them with value and useful information, and they are more likely to stick around and stay as a loyal subscriber.

Now go ahead and click HERE or click the link "All 4 FREE" at the top to see an overview of all the FREE resources that I'm sharing with you. The list will keep on growing as I find new and useful resources for you.

You can also Go Direct to the page I've made about my particular autoresponder recommendation (It's FREE!).

Have a great day!
Ulf

Take control of your life

Many of us go to our daily job (if we’re “lucky enough” to have one). As we all probably know, crisis is still troubling us everywhere in the world. Unemployment is at all time high, and so on. The world as a “safe place” might not be that safe after all, at least not in terms of financial stability and welfare.

If we want to keep our welfare and security for ourselves, families and loved ones, then we need to take control of our lives. We must take responsibility for creating our own security and success. Sounds easy, right? But is it that easy?

Well the answer to that question is both “YES” and “NO”.

In order to make it easier to understand, I want you to watch the video below. It’s around 20 minutes long and it’s about what you can do with your life if (and when) you take control of it, and it also tells you what you need to do to achieve that.

OK, so now you’ve seen how I spend part of my time every day, and you’ve heard me saying several times that you need to take control of your life if you want to change things. You’ve also learned that you need to surround yourself with the right people that fits into what you strive to achieve.

I'm therefore very happy to invite you to team up with me so we can work together for our mutual benefit. Sign up for my newsletter from the form in the right side menu and make sure you hook up with me on one of the social mediasites so we can learn to know each other. I'm looking forward to your response.

Have a great day!
Ulf

Why Google For Blogging?

Some people ask me why I use this blogging platform (Blogger). Well, first and foremost because it's free and very solid. Blogger is a part of Google, which as we all know is one of the biggest Internet companies in the world. Besides that, there are some really great features in it, it's easy to use, everything is translated to your native language if you so wish, and it integrates with every part of the Google platform, which includes major sites like YouTube and Google+.

As you might have seen in my welcome video, I would like to keep things at the lowest expense possible, preferably free. Blogger makes that possible. You know, I can have as much posts as I want here, even if it goes into many thousands. Google don't care. They just let me post. Wordpress on the other hand (which also is a great blogging platform) limits your data to around 3GB in the free version.

A lot of people use Wordpress as a selfhosted blogging platform, which means that they have purchased webhosting and installed Wordpress there. That gives them great flexibility and most often also unlimited amount of data. But then they have to pay for their hosting, and that's usually around $3-$8 per month. Besides, they also have to purchase their own domain... which is a GOOD thing, don't get me wrong here. Having your own domain will in the first place of course strengthen your personal branding, but in the long run I don't believe it's necessary. You see, it's all about content. It's what you offer to people that counts. "Content is king" has been said many times, and that is very true. If you have a good, solid offer that provides value to others, then you will be found, no matter if you have your own domain(s) or if you have a blog like this with a subdomain to Google. It really doesn't matter. The domain resellers are just very good to make you think that you need your own domain and your own hosting. You can actually make most everything you need online, for business or personal purposes, without paying for it - at all!

I just want to raise a little finger and a warning here. There are companies out there that offer absolutely free webhosting (with some limitations, but pretty generous though). However, they can for obvious reasons - I mean, it's free - not deliver the same kind of quality that the paid services do, or the BIG companies like Google. These free services do have regular (and that is more than once per week, more like 3-5 times per week) downtime which in reality means that your website(s) will not be visible on the web. That is NOT good, because the stream of visitors continue throughout the whole day since this is a global environment. You never know who and how many visitors you miss out on because of the fact that your site is down. This has happened too many times for me to trust and rely my complete online presence to free services that can't guarantee their uptime. So to me, the choice of Google was very easy and I'm happy that I've taken the step to use one of the world's biggest and most secure companies with regards to being present online.

However, a lot of features that are very useful like I wrote above, both with regards to business and private life are available online. There's a section on this blog called "All4FREE" where I will show you all the things that you can get access to without having to pay one single cent. You'll find stuff both for running a business and to pure personal/family use. All without paying anything. But... I won't go into such details right now, and I won't take any discussion at this point whether or not paying for stuff online is worth it or not. That will be in a future post. Here's a video informing you why I pick Google's Free Blogging Platform instead of something else.

Have a great day!
Ulf
